The School Visit Programme

The Deer Park - visit the deer park on your private tractor & trailer ride to see the deer at close quarters and learn about the four different types of deer we have in the herd – Red, Fallow, Sika and Axis. There is also the opportunity to hand feed the tamer members of the herd.

Did you know that stags grow new antlers every year?

Resident paddock animals - include donkeys, Shetland ponies, llamas, Kuni Kuni pigs, wild boar,  lambs, goats, chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits and guinea pigs in the Pat-a-Pet area. Visiting these animals allow the children to learn about animal identification, animal care and well being.

Do you know the correct way to hand feed an animal?

Animals and their young – throughout the year we have various baby animals. Learn about the animals, differences between the animals, and differences between adults and their offspring.

Does a baby deer look like its mother?

Wild Walk and Nature Trail – investigate the natural environment and explore the different plants and trees that grow in the Farm Park and observe seasonal changes?

Do you know which tree conkers come from?

Habitats and Wild Life – a variety of wildlife can be seen at the Farm Park and children are encouraged to look for the wild life or evidence of their presence.

Do you know what a badger ‘loo’  looks like?
