Deer Safari
Visitors get the unique opportunity to observe deer at close quarters with our new Bucklebury Farm Park deer safari.
The dawn and dusk safaris run in the spring and early summer (May to July) and autumn (September and October) in addition to the farm’s daily tour programme from 10am to 6pm. The exclusive safaris are tailored to small groups and take place at 7am and 6.30pm from Friday to Sunday giving visitors unique access to the farm’s herd of Red, Japanese Sika, Axis and Fallow deer.
The spring safaris give the breathtaking sight of newborn calves often only a few hours old while the pace changes in the autumn giving a new insight into the life of the herd as the drama of the rutting season unfolds.
Ideal for nature enthusiasts and photographers, you can choose from two options both including welcome refreshments followed by a talk about the deer, a guided walk and park safari with the, chance to take photograph followed by a ranger's breakfast or a barbeque supper. Booking in advance is essential as the groups are small.
