Bucklebury Farm Park creates a "magical" roundabout

Sharp eyed visitors may have spotted our new venture into roundabout sponsorship - we are supporting the West Berkshire scheme and will be paying for the upkeep of the roundabout at the bottom of Hart's Hill between Thatcham and Bucklebury for the next three years. Our new signs went up on Friday 27th August and we are hoping that local school children will help us create the planting pglet scheme!

New litter of curly pigs arrives

Our second litter of Hungarian Mangalitsa "curly piglets" was born to mum and dad Ivan and Olga on 18th August 2010. They are very cute and furry and enjoying the sunshine - come and see them play!

Teddy Bear Hunt raises £132.71 for Helen & Douglas Houbearsse Hospice

Our fun Teddy bear hunt on 12 August was a great success raising £132.71 in aid of the charity Helen & Douglas House which provides hospice care for children and young adults. Youngsters (and oldsters too) brought their favourite teddies and headed off on a bear hunt through our nature walk answering clues to find some famous bears. None other than a bear looking suspiciously like Paddington was waiting for them at the end. We had a prize draw for all our successful bear hunters won by Megan Birch aged 6 from Marsh Benham, Maisie Cornwall (6) from Welford and Charlie Spring (3) from Reading. We were delighted that our local MP Richard Benyon was able to join us on the day and even tried out our new jumping pillow - what a great sport!

New Jumping Pillow opens this weekend (17-18 July 2010)plw

Jumping Pillows were first launched in Denmark 10 years ago and now they are coming to Berkshire! Bucklebury Farm Park is taking delivery of the first inflatable Jumping Pillow to be installed in the county just in time for the summer holidays. Together with a new go-kart track, Woody’s Leap woodland obstacle course and gemstone panning, there is plenty to entertain the whole family in our adventure play areas.

See the curly pigs at Bucklebury Farm Park

Bucklebury Farm Park farmer Rupert was given a surprise Christmas present of two gorgeous woolly-coated Hungarian Mangalitsa pigs (Ivan and Olga) by girlfriend Elizabeth. There was an even bigger surprise when Olga produced a cheeky litter of stripey piglets just two days before we re-opened for the new season. Known as "curly" pigs, Mangalitzas are relatively new to the UK and we think this is the first litter born in Berkshire!!

Den Building Area Open For Action!

If you enjoyed our bushcraft adventure experience why not come on down and have a go at building your own shelters in our new den building area? The den building area has been created by Bucklebury's own woodcraft team who will be on hand to show you how it is done.

Season Tickets Available Now!
